My Favourite 4 Eats on The Gold Coast
Updated: Jan 6, 2022
I have lived on the Gold Coast for 2 years and in those 2 years so many great vegan restaurants are popping up and there are some oldies that I just can’t get enough of.
I love eating out and sharing moments with friends, and I also try out new places, so I thought would share my four favourite vegan restaurants I like to go to. These are perfect if you are travelling to the Gold Coast or you just haven’t tried it yet.
My Top 4
Flour of Life Feed the Earthlings Green House Canteen Cardamon pod @ Brickworks Tian Ran
Scroll Down for Food Diary of each location
1. Flour of Life is that ultimate old-school bakery and 100% cruelty-free. So you can get your favourite bakery treats without any guilt.
It brings back childhood memories of my mum treating us to a custard tart or a pink doughnut. If Aaron and I are travelling up to Brisbane it’s our number one stop on the way. Located in Helensvale and across the highway is Warner Brothers Movie World. I like to take my tiffins with me so I am creating no waste.
Next to the bakery is a vegan mini market that serves coffee, so you can get your bakery treats and head next door for a coffee.
My top picks- Chicken Curry Pie, Sausage Rolls and all sweet treats don’t disappoint.
2. Feed The Earthlings is another place that brings the feels. Memories of going to our local corner store in my hometown of Cronulla the burgers were big and never disappointed and affordable.
Well, Feed the Earthlings ticks all those boxes.
located in the heart of Broadbeach, this place is family owned and I never stray from the humble burger with the lot. But they do have other burgers and traditional pizzas with mock meat. So if you are treading the vegan water this place is a great place to start.
Top Picks- Burger with the lot, Chicken burger.
3. Green House Canteen is a fancier vibe than the first two. If you want healthy plant-based food with all the flavour of the old favourites come here for dinner. Opens at 5pm in Miami on the Gold Coast Highway. The food is heavenly and the atmosphere of greenery is so calming. As we sat outside we had all the people who were coming to eat eyeing off what we ordered. This is a great place to meet up with friends and their cocktails are so tasty, try the “Bloom” infused elderberry liqueur with vodka.
I urge you to try all the small bites if you are with friends so you can try a bit of everything.
My favourite picks – Buffalo Cauliflower Wings, Antipasto Board, and Arancini balls
4 Cardamon Pod @ Brickworks is such a great place to go for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The presentation is just as divine as the food is. Are you a pancake or waffle type of person? I can never decide. I am a huge coffee drinker give me the pot and I am done but even though the food is completely vegan the milk is not so just remember to ask for a plant-based milk of your choice. On Rainy days I like to order a chia late for that sweet treat. 5 Tian Ran is my all time favourite on this list (saving the best for last). Aaron and I treat ourselves weekly to a bit of vegan Chinese and they know our order by heart. The decor is plain but the food bursts with flavour and it is so affordable. We took Aaron’s parents while they were visiting and they were shocked it was vegan (sometimes I think they think I’m not feeding their son properly. Top Picks- BBQ Steamed Buns, Salt and Pepper Calamari, Chicken and Vegetable Curry and Vermicelli Noodles.
